ABOUT the ARTIST

My name is Katerina Anagnostopoulou and welcome to my studio!

I am an NAÏVE ARTIST, very much influenced by post-impressionism and expressionism. Based in Athens – Greece, this wonderful country gave me great deal of inspiration and opportunities to express myself as an artist and show my work.

My primary subject is Landscape – natural scenery, but my work also includes Portrait and Figure Paintings. Lately I was looking for a challenge and found it in making miniature paintings on glass stones – my collectable “GLASS IMPASTO MINIATURES”.

I don’t like to paint with classical painting brushes, they do not sit well in my hands – instead prefer to paint with palette knifes, even my small miniatures stones. In my creative work I am using the impasto painting technique. All my work is original and painted with Acrylic Paints.

With my art I do express my thoughts, emotions and visions that an artist has of the world.
